The ideal Content Project Manager will be someone who is excited to work with great client and agency teams to turn data and big ideas into marketing campaigns with impact. We are looking for someone who has a passion for managing the delivery of high-quality content including defining and sourcing the right kind of content writers for a range of different content styles and brands.
We work remotely but we collaborate regularly throughout the day to stay connected. You will be a full member of our global team and participate in meetings with our clients.
Your main responsibilities as a Content Project Manager will include:
• Taking ownership of the delivery and implementation of quality content for our clients
• Working with internal teams to manage content development for our client projects
• Identifying and sourcing quality content writers to meet our client deliverables
• Working with stakeholders to set achievable service and delivery expectations
• Working closely with vendors to produce content that generates client results
• Resolving vendor questions and issues in a timely and effective manner for clients and internal teams
• Anticipating and communicating project pitfalls or potential roadblocks
• Performing quality checks on content to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintaining a content calendar to support client marketing campaigns and initiatives
• Developing client content strategies (depending on your experience)
You should apply if you have the following qualifications:
• A degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications, or related fields
• Prior experience (2-3 years) working as a journalist, editor, copywriter, content writer, and/or content manager
• Advanced English skills, primarily writing and editing
• Worked with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal – uploading and publishing posts, managing assets, optimizing metadata, headings, etc.
• Copy editing experience(grammar, spelling, awkward phrasing, removing filler content, rephrasing, sentence, paragraphs and article structuring, etc.)
• Content planning and content calendar management experience
• Concrete understanding of different types of content: email content, gated content, social media content, web content, SEO content, etc.
• Familiar with or has strong knowledge of SEO best practices
• Basic knowledge of HTML (concepts)
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or other word processing software (formatting, reviewing - track changes, etc.)
Brownie points for:
• Startup experience
• Project management experience
• Managing content budgets
• Experience using Google Analytics and other similar tools (social media analytics, etc)
• Experience managing writers, creating content briefs, clearly defining instructions for writers, etc.
• Experience developing content processes and strategies
• Basic knowledge of technical SEO concepts
• Proficient in Asana for project management
• Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP)
