looking for its next Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to lead and manage the logistics department. In this role, your main focus would be on forecasting, supplier relations & controlling logistical costs. More specifically, in this role you will be responsible for:
- Forecasting - One of the most important metrics at EAK Distribution is its in-stock rate; Always being in stock, and yet not being very overstocked is a challenge and this is one of the main responsibilities of this position
- Supply Chain Management - It starts with placing orders, and then it continues to liaising with the factories on troubleshooting and actively ensuring that timelines are being kept; dealing with issues that come up during production: COGS increasing, production delays, quality control issues.
- Freight - Comparing prices, booking shipments, overseeing timelines, troubleshooting
- COGS Management - Having a strong handle on EAK Distribution’s COGS & leading strategy and negotiation related to this area
- 3PLs - Everything related to the inventory coming and in and out of the 3PLs
- Returns - Understanding the numbers around returns, and having a system for minimizing returns and maximizing the value of returned items. Getting paid back by factories on what is agreed
- QC - Overseeing QC during production. Dealing with general QC issues with the factories
- Audits- Ensuring no inventory lost, dealing with Amazon inventory claims, and dealing with factory claims for faulty inventory
- Special Projects - For example, factories keeping a safety stock for us, moving 3PLs, SFP and other things related to Amazon account
- Operating Processes - Setting up processes for smooth operations in all matters related to marketing
- Supplier Relationship - Being the point of contact with all suppliers
An onboarding process will be organised for you so that you can learn more about EAK Distribution; you will have an opportunity to get to know the team and the products. However, there won’t be any role-specific training, as we expect you to be an expert on all things Logistics & Supply Chain! As this is a management role, you will report to the CEO / COO, but you will interact with the logistics coordinator, data analysts, suppliers & more.
Requirements
In order to excel in this role, you need to have:
- Logistics and supply chain management experience
- Experience with working with international and domestic freight
- Experience with working with manufacturers and suppliers
- Good Excel skills
- Excellent demand planning, forecasting and freight coordination skills
- A passion for data: you are happy to dig into data & ensure that everything is functioning optimally
- Ability to coordinate between staff
- A passion for optimizing processes
- Great work ethic: you are happy to be taken accountable, and you take initiative
- Great communication skills
- Detail-oriented mindset

- Flexible working hours; however, there is a mandatory 4-hour overlap between 8 AM - 12 PM EST on some days of the week
