Senior DevOps Engineer

THE JOB

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the automation of all manual tasks, for the building and deployment of both code and data in order to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment frameworks. You will define the environment and processes in regards to versioning and deployment controls. This includes fostering and supporting our agile development culture while being responsible for: 

Automating, building, and deploying processes in hybrid (AWS/Azure and/or on-prem) environments for monolith applications and microservices

Creating and maintaining CI/CD environments to facilitate an Agile development process

Researching, recommending, and implementing new technologies

Identifying common solutions to specific requirements not covered by current conventions

Collaborating with developers, designers, QA, and product owners to analyze, design, and implement functionality in software products based on gathered business requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Good understanding of how DevOps & CI/CD working principles and practices can be used to increase speed and quality

Previous experience working with Docker and Kubernetes  

Understanding of PaaS and/or Cloud hosting

Experience working with AWS/GCloud/Azure cloud providers

Extensive knowledge of Linux

Understanding of Bash/Python/Node.js

Understanding of computer networks fundamentals

Experience with Web servers (NGINX, Apache2)

Experience with Jenkins / Travis CI / Circle CI / Bitbucket Pipelines

Not required but nice to have:
