More specifically, in this role you will be responsible for:
Forecasting & inventory management - One of the most important metrics at EAK Distribution is its in-stock rate; Always being in stock, and yet not being very overstocked is a challenge and this is one of the main responsibilities of this position
Supply Chain Management - It starts with placing orders, and then it continues liaising with the factories on troubleshooting and actively ensuring that timelines are being kept; dealing with issues that come up during production: COGS increasing, production delays, and quality control issues.
Freight - Comparing prices, booking shipments, overseeing timelines, troubleshooting
COGS Management - Having a strong handle on EAK Distribution’s COGS & leading strategy and negotiation related to this area
3PLs - Everything related to the inventory coming and in and out of the 3PLs
Returns - Understanding the numbers around returns, and having a system for minimising returns and maximising the value of returned items. Getting paid back by factories on what is agreed
QC - Overseeing QC during production. Dealing with general QC issues with the factories
Audits- Ensuring no inventory lost, dealing with Amazon inventory claims, and dealing with factory claims for faulty inventory
Special Projects - For example, factories keeping a safety stock for us, moving 3PLs, SFP and other things related to Amazon account
Operating Processes - Setting up processes for smooth operations in all matters related to marketing
Supplier Relationship - Being the point of contact with all suppliers in US and China
This is a full-time role, and you need at least 4 hours of overlap between 8 AM and 12 PM EST.
In order to excel in this role, you need to have:
Experience with inventory management
Logistics and supply chain management experience
Experience with working with international freight
Experience in managing CPG products
Experience with working with manufacturers and suppliers
Good Excel skills
Excellent demand planning, forecasting and freight coordination skills
A passion for data: you are happy to dig into data & ensure that everything is functioning optimally
Ability to coordinate between staff
A passion for optimising processes
Great work ethic: you are happy to be taken accountable, and you take initiative
Great communication skills
Detail-oriented mindset
What’s in it for you?
$2000* per month (pending review)
Full-time and fully remote employment
Flexible working hours; however, there is a mandatory 4-hour overlap between 8 AM - 12 PM EST on some days of the week
Vacation & days off, as well as health allowance after 3 months at EAK Distribution
