Product Designer

You’ll be a hands-on product designer embedded in one of our cross-functional squads. Working closely with the product manager, engineers and operations, you will choose the most important business problems to solve and deliver value quickly to our customers.

The sorts of problems you can expect to take on:

Ensure we create great lasting matches between families and nannies

Create the content and tools that take the mental load of childcare arrangements away from parents

Help our nannies get better at delivering high quality child care everyday

This role brings together creativity, deep problem solving and collaboration. And what's more, what we're selling is AMAZING. Our customers use words like 'love' and 'life-changing' to describe what we do. You'll be a part of bringing that to life for our customers through our products.

What we're looking for...

Here's your mission, should you choose to accept it...

You will take direct responsibility for the design of one of our product areas with ownership of research, UX and visual design e.g. interviews, prototyping, information architecture, interaction design.

You will be part of an autonomous squad with product managers, engineers and operations where you will work in short cycles to test assumptions and make smart decisions quickly

You will understand the customer deeply by investing time in primary user research

Balancing form and function, you'll create intuitive, engaging and accessible products

You'll use data and insights to inform your choices and use a well balanced mix of analytical thought and intuition in your process, favouring progress over perfection

You value copy as an integral part of design and write clearly and thoughtfully

You'll be a champion for the design discipline at Koru Kids, particularly helping raise the bar on visual design across the product

Flexibility: The role is full time but can be done flexibly. We welcome parents and would love to discuss any working arrangements that make it possible for you to be part of our team

Salary: The salary range for this role is £55,000-75,000, depending on experience. This is because the less relevant experience you have, the more support you'll need, which we'll need to also pay for. If you're part-time, this will be pro-rated. We also have some awesome benefits — parents, among these is the ability to have a Koru Kids nanny for half price!

Location: You can do this role from anywhere in the UK and earn the same salary as you would if you were in London (where we are based). We welcome applications from people living outside London. Outside the UK is more complicated as it has tax and other implications, so we are unlikely to hire someone living outside the UK.
